Dear {Contact_First_Name},
Happy Spring! When the sun shines and the flowers bud, I feel more energized and happier. I hope the season's change is having the same effect on you. In March, along with AWC members Laura Martinez-Fonts and Prachi Shah, I attended the UN’s 69th Commission of the Status Women (CSW69) with the FAWCO delegation. It was the largest world gathering on gender equality and the empowerment of women with 8,000 representatives from civil society (NGOs like FAWCO), heads of state and ministers. In the last week of March, I also am representing the club at the FAWCO bi-annual conference in Annapolis, MD. Stay tuned for our report back on both. Though our Club has reduced programming in April due to the schools' spring break, there are still fun events on the calendar. If you have not been to an event in a while, we'd love to see you. Please try to come to ONE thing in the next month. If you’re traveling, we wish you a safe journey, and look forward to hearing all about it when you return. I wish you a beautiful start of spring. Happy Easter, and Chag Pesach Sameach! My-Linh

Our wonderful VP of Member Clubs, Kanika Holloway, has completed her term on the FAWCO Board. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank her for the most admirable ways that she has been serving in this position. She remains an inspiration to all of us, an example of true leadership, forever aspiring to her levels of energy and optimism. We hope to see her in the future in many other roles within the FAWCO family.
To keep the tradition, and perhaps because she says it best, I’d like to highlight her words from this month’s newsletter:
“FAWCO’s future is in the hands of those who lead and volunteer with purpose and passion! Sustainability isn’t just about the number of clubs we have or the number of the members within them – it’s about access to information, resources, and believing in the capability of our people, relationships, and the communities we build together. Let’s continue to be bold and proactive in the way we engage. Let’s also continue to push forward with a sense of urgency and vision, amplifying voices, breaking down barriers, and ensuring that every club feels seen, heard and valued!”
Wishing you all a Happy Springtime,
Annamaria
