Dear {Contact_First_Name},
Happy Spring! When the sun shines and the flowers bud, I feel so much more energized and happier. I hope the season's change is having the same effect on you.
CALENDAR
This month’s calendar is vibrant, featuring our tour and reception at the South African Embassy (hosted by Mrs. Ilse Oosthuizen, wife of His Excellency the South African Ambassador with Remarks and Q&A from Mr. Andries Oosthuizen, Minister Plenipotentiary, Charge des Affaires) alongside two exclusive gallery visits with AWC members gallerist Elizabeth Kang and Eunyoung Cho. While our schedule is packed with interesting events, if you can only join ONE event a month, I highly recommend our Monthly Meeting for Members on April 17th. It is the perfect occasion to connect with the broader membership in a relaxed, social setting.
HELP WANTED
Our Programs team is looking for help. Do you like or want to learn event planning? have program ideas for the club or have some capacity to just pitch in & help? please contact me at president@awcberlin.org. We are 100% volunteer run and more hands make light work!
FAWCO CONFERENCE
Along with a delegation of 5 AWC members, I attended the FAWCO annual conference in Malta in March, where FAWCO celebrated its 95th Anniversary with 168 participants from 42 clubs. We met over 2.5 days to learn about FAWCO’s work on our behalf, share clubs’ best practices and network with our FAWCO sisters from around the world. Over $50k was raised for the FAWCO Foundation’s programs. Congratulations to AWC’s Kendra Valentine who won the FAWCO Foundation Education Award for Aspiring Writers and Veronica Riffle who was recognized with the FAWCO Rep Appreciation Award. See Veronica’s full conference report in the FAWCO section below.
I hope to see you this month and wish you a beautiful start of spring! My-Linh, on behalf of the Board of Directors 2026

Healing After Loss: Grief, Strength, and How to Truly Support One Another
We have all been impacted by Loss - it includes the loss of marriage, relationship, career, health, a life situation or the passing of a loved one. And most of us will one day try to comfort someone who is grieving — and feel completely helpless. Participants will leave with greater confidence in supporting others and a new perspective on their own experiences of loss. This is a project of Pacific Links Foundation. Power Her Path supports women and girls in Vietnam who have survived human trafficking, forced labor, or forced marriage – and those at risk of exploitation. Using a trauma-informed, survivor-centered model, the project delivers immediate safety and wellbeing support, builds long-term economic self-reliance, and strengthens the systems that connect survivors to services. We can be proud to serve and support this organization over the next two years.
